Re: From Event Host: Gecko Fest Voter Registration

i am glad U emailed me.
i was just on barackobama.com trying to find a way to contact U.
i needed to discuss my volunteer shift status with U.

Unfortunately, i need to see if i can reschedule or cancel. So.
So as it turns out, my Grandma Terri died Thursday (seriously).
And my Mom had to fly up to NY to visit my Grandad.
And so she had my brother give me tickets to The Ball Game.
And he made me promise that i would go. So, I have to go.
i don't want to let U down. i just can't be in two places at once.
i might be able to make it back there for the 7PM shift, maybe.
i do not own a car, so i need to see if i can catch the bus in time.
This was going to be my FIRST volunteer shift, too. Oh well.
i will probably take the bus down there in the morning anyway.
i have an extra ticket if U know anyone who might want to gO.

PS: Go, Obama. Obama, Obama. Go, Obama. Obama, Obama.

Thank you all for volunteering to register voters tomorrow (Saturday, August 30) at the Gulfport Gecko Fest.

The shift times and workers are listed below. (I wrote emails to several of you indicating changes. Hopefully, you received those emails.)

If this is your first time registering voters, please arrive a few minutes early so one of the more experienced volunteers can explain the procedure. You will be given clipboards and the necessary forms. Black ink must be used to fill in the information. Please bring a pen just in case....

As it will probably be uncomfortably warm, dress accordingly. You will be walking through the crowds.

Our table will be set up in front of Hula Hula located at 2902 Beach Blvd.S. Volunteers from the Democratic Headquarters will be there also selling merchandise.

I will have my cell phone with me and can be reached at 917-916-4094. If no answer, try my land phone (343-4844).

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow --

Betsey Daffron
